Keeping athletes healthy, and treating them when they’re not, requires highly specialized care. Fremont Health offers a complete range of sports medicine services dedicated to student athletes at area schools. This comprehensive service line includes rehabilitation, injury management, access to certified athletic trainers and injury prevention education.
At the core of every successful athlete is physical fitness. We offer a variety of programs and clinics to keep athletes at the peak of performance, including speed and agility training, jumping technique and ACL prevention, and sport-specific biomechanical analysis. Plus, we’re right here for athletic training coverage:
Injuries don’t always happen at the most convenient times. That’s why Fremont Health offers a free Sports Injury Walk-in Clinic each Saturday during the fall. So injured athletes from any high school in the region can show up and be seen by experts in sports medicine, including providers from Fremont Health Family Care and Fremont Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. The clinic is located in the Rehabilitation Department at Fremont Health Medical Center and is open each Saturday from 9 – 11 a.m., now though mid-November. Athletes are asked to check in by 10 a.m. and are seen on a first come, first served basis.
Fremont Health’s Sports Medicine team works hard to prevent and minimize sports injuries, providing free training coverage at eight area schools – Archbishop Bergan, Cedar Bluffs, Fremont High, Logan View, Lyons-Decatur Northeast, Mead, North Bend Central, and Scribner-Snyder.
Every year our Fremont Health medical staff and sports medicine volunteers provide free sports pre-participation screenings to hundreds of student athletes.
