Free Saturday Sports Injury Walk-in Clinic

Keith-knee-eval.jpgInjuries don’t always happen at the most convenient times. That’s why Fremont Health provides a free Saturday Sports Injury Walk-in Clinic each Saturday during the fall. Injured athletes from any high school in the region can show up and be seen by experts in sports medicine.

The clinic is located in the Rehabilitation Department at Fremont Health Medical Center, 450 East 23rd Street, Entrance B, and is open each Saturday from 9 – 11 a.m., now though the end of November. Athletes are asked to check in by 10 a.m. and are seen on a first come, first served basis.

Athletes will be evaluated by orthopaedic professionals from Fremont Health and OrthoNebraska. Parents are welcome to attend with their student athlete to discuss any questions or concerns.

Fremont Health’s Sports Medicine team works hard to prevent and minimize sports injuries, providing free training coverage at eight area schools – Archbishop Bergan, Cedar Bluffs, Fremont High, Logan View, Lyons-Decatur Northeast, Mead, North Bend Central, and Scribner-Snyder. Fremont Health provides free basic sports screens to hundreds of student athletes each year and is the exclusive sports medicine provider for Midland University Athletics.
