Nancy Low heard all the rumors about Menopause.
"You had hot flashes, basically you couldn't sleep at night - maybe a few mood changes."
Then she experienced them for herself. "I had mood changes. I was also feeling fatigue - really, really fatigued. I was getting to where I didn't want to go anywhere or do anything because I just didn't feel good," she said.
Fremont Health's Dr. Karen Lauer-Silva says Menopause affects every woman differently. Some women never have a symptom - others like Nancy have several. said, "If someone's stress behavior is to weep, they become weepy and emotional. If someone's stress behavior is to be really crabby and irritable, they become crabby and irritable. It's hard to predict and it's distressing for the person who's going through it as well as their family."
