When Dr. Beacom began his medical practice in Fremont, he immediately became aware of farm-related injuries. "Almost right after I opened my practice, there was a tractor rollover death, an amputation and another serious farm-related injury. It was then I realized the huge need to educate the public about farm safety."
As a result, he founded the CA$H (Combining Agricultural $afety & Health) program. Dr. Beacom's mission is to heighten awareness in rural areas about safety and health issues.
Dr. Beacom was also named the Young Physician of the Year by the Nebraska Medical Association in 2009.
