Tobacco Free Environment

Tobacco use is not consistent with Fremont Health’s mission to protect and improve the health of patients, residents, visitors and staff. Smoking and secondhand smoke are known to cause serious lung diseases, heart disease and cancer.

Therefore, Fremont Health Medical Center and all Fremont Health properties are designated as tobacco-free environments. The use of tobacco (including cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco), e-cigarettes, and vapor pens are not permitted on any Fremont Health-owned property, which includes but is not limited to, buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and Fremont Health-owned vehicles.

If you are a tobacco user, talk to your physician about tobacco alternatives while you are in the hospital. Fremont Health also provides smoking cessation classes. Please call 402-727-3439 for more information.
