Nothing about Danyelle's pregnancy hinted at the possibility of a complication to come—the 31-year-old Scribner resident and stay-at-home mom to son Devon had a normal, healthy ninemonth journey. She gave birth to Raven at a neighboring hospital in the early morning hours of April 4, 2014. When Danyelle’s medical team removed the placenta, they noted the uterus had turned inside out. Danyelle had very heavy bleeding and was immediately transported to Fremont Health Medical Center for emergency surgery. For Dr. Gerald Keasling and a medical team of many, that day won't soon be forgotten.
