A Nebraska native, Eric Samuelson, MD received a bachelors degree in chemistry from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Following graduation, he went on to attend the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. Samuelson completed a General Surgery Internship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and later completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In August of 2013, he began Sports Medicine Fellowship training – specifically in knee, shoulder, and elbow injuries – at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, North Carolina. While at OrthoCarolina, Dr. Samuelson was a part of the team coverage for the Carolina Panthers (NFL).
Prior to joining OrthoNebraska, Dr. Samuelson was a practicing Orthopaedic Surgeon at CHI Health. He has been practicing orthopaedics and treating patients in the Omaha community since 2014. Dr. Samulson has served as a team physician to many of Omaha’s athletic programs, including the Omaha Beef and a number of area high schools. In addition to his practice, he also serves as an active member on many professional societies including the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, Mid-America Orthopaedic Association and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
